Because it’s good for you! It includes; vitamins, trace enzymes, amino acids, and minerals like calcium, iron, sodium chlorine, magnesium, phosphate, and potassium.

Scraped yourself? Apply honey and it will help disinfect the wound from some bacteria. Honey was actually used as an infection-fighting remedy for many years until penicillin became available in the early 20th century.

Honey coats the throat and keeps it calm by soothing the nerve endings that protect the throat. Not every ingredient in cough syrup screams health for your body, but honey is an old-fashioned cough remedy that is packed with health benefits.
