Recipe 1: a hearty dinner!

This recipe contains brown rice which is great for an upset stomach and also ensures your dog is nice and full. Chicken, (also included in this dish), is a good source of protein and lastly broccoli which is only good for your dog in small amounts, please do not over do the broccoli.

  • 3 cups of brown rice
  • 1 whole cooked chicken
  • 1 broccoli
  • 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil

  1. Boil 3 cups of brown rice
  2. Boil 5 heads of broccoli, do not add excessive broccoli as too much can give your dog a belly ache
  3. Pull thin strings from a cooked whole chicken and place these pieces in a separate bowl. Ensure there are no bones in the parts of chicken that you are pulling off
  4. Once the broccoli has boiled, cut the tops off each, and dice so that you have enough greenery to sprinkle over your brown rice and chicken
  5. Once the brown rice is ready, drain and mix your brown rice and pulled chicken together
  6. Add one teaspoon of vegetable oil to your brown rice and chicken, and then mix it through
  7. Mix the diced broccoli through your dish
  8. This yummy meal is now ready to serve!

Recipe 2: health kick!

This yummy meal contains protein filled eggs, healthy pumpkin and beneficial cabbage which is great for digestion, fights cancer and is good for your dog’s skin. Turmeric, which is also included here, is a fab source of vitamins and antioxidants. The only downfall of this meal is that the cabbage can equate to smelly farts!!

  • 5 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil
  • 1/4 of a cabbage
  • 1/4 of a pumpkin (not canned)
  • Turmeric (a few sprinkles)

  1. Chop your pumpkin in small cubes, and place them in water to boil
  2. Slice and dice your cabbage and place into the same boiling water as the pumpkin cubes
  3. Use vegetable oil to scramble up and fry 5 eggs
  4. Once your pumpkin cubes have softened and your cabbage has lightened/softened, add both of these ingredients to your frying pan that contains the scrambled eggs
  5. sprinkle some turmeric through your mix
  6. This dish is now ready to serve!

Recipe 3: a breakfasty type of dinner

Make sure you know how your dog reacts to dairy products before serving this meal. Some dogs do not stomach milk well, causing diarrhea and gas. My dog has no problem with milk and loves this dish, the apples also help to clean her teeth and the yogurt is a great source of calcium and protein.

  • 1 cup of oatmeal (with no added sugar, etc)
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 green apple
  • 1/2 a cup of yogurt (with no artificial sweeteners or added sugars)

  1. Mix your milk and oatmeal together and place in the microwave to soften
  2. Slice your green apple in thin crescents
  3. Add the apple to the oatmeal mixture
  4. Dollop some yogurt through the dish
  5. Ready to serve!
